Is Stage One a 3-way speaker?
We thought you would never ask. Stage One is designed as a true 3-way speaker bar none! Using our custom internal and external porting system and combining this with our Electrotec TRI-AC® (Triple Acoustic Chambering) system, we created earth-pounding bass with high fidelity mids and highs, giving you the only true portable battery-powered 3-way system in its class!
Can Stage One play and charge my phone at the same time?
Yes indeed! You can charge and play your phone or device using USB or USB-C, even at max volume. Another cool feature is using a USB drive to play music with play controls. You can also control what’s playing using the Stage One app.
What’s the battery life on Stage One?
We’ve tested the batteries and they have 100+ hours of playtime at 55% and 12+ hours at max volume based on music genre. Bass fanatics will see less but more than any other system on the planet. You can double the playtime by using both batteries! Stage One is the only speaker with two battery capabilities on the market to date, an industry first!
Does the Stage One speaker work with one battery?
Of course! Stage One is designed to work with one or two batteries and has the capability to hot swap the battery, meaning you can remove one battery and remain playing on the other battery without skipping a beat.
Does Stage One speaker play to 11?
Firstly, playing to 11 was taken from the movie SPINAL TAP, which coincidentally our founder and designer Rikki Farr produced the live audio for that movie. That scene was shot with Electrotec Audio equipment, formerly Electrosound at Santa Monica Civic Theatre. Stage One, unlike any speaker of its type, has 30 volume steps, each individually tuned for a balanced listening experience. (And we go to 30!)
Can I group more than one Stage One speaker?
An awesome feature of Stage One is that you can group or “bond” up to five Stage One speakers using SKAA. You can also control the Stage One speakers, manually assign channels (left, right, mono) or use the Stage One app and many other features.
Can I control the volume on more than one Stage One speaker when bonded?
Take complete control of your bonded Stage One speakers! When Stage One is bonded with other Stage One speakers, you can simply press the volume knob down and an amber LED will light up around the volume knob. This now means you can control the volume levels of ALL bonded Stage One speakers. You can also do this from any Stage One speaker that is bonded.
Does Stage One have specific connections for a microphone, guitar, mixer or other pro audio devices?
You betcha! We thought of everything when we designed Stage One. We’ve included two combo XLR inputs, allowing XLR and TRS (1/4” Jack) inputs to connect various devices. We also took it a step further by adding a High-Z filter for guitars with a TS input buffer! Not impressed yet? Each combo XLR input has its own independent gain control with High Pass Filter, making them the most versatile inputs on a mobile speaker on the market to date! Oh yeah, and we have a 3.5mm stereo input as well.
Does the app give you EQ capabilities?
The app will give you presets professionally tuned for the best sound and has the capability for you to create your own presets and store them!
Can Stage One connect to my PC, TV or gaming console?
Stage One can connect to several different types of devices. Yes, it can connect to all these and much more. You can also expand your connectivity with a SKAA USB adapter, USB-C or Lightning port adapter!
How loud is the Stage One speaker?
Loudness or SPL (Sound Pressure Level) is typically measured at 1 Watt, 1 Meter which is the standard. The Stage One Speaker has a peak output of 126 Db SPL, which is very loud. What separates the Stage One Speaker from the rest is that even at those high volumes, Stage One delivers powerful sound with perfect separation and minimal distortion (if any) thanks to our 30-step volume tuning!
